Journal Information

The Manila Journal of Science (MJS) is a peer-reviewed and abstracted journal of De La Salle University, Manila. MJS publishes original researches in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Science Education. MJS evaluates submissions based on scientific rigor and soundness; and not on subjective indicators such as novelty or impact. A thorough presentation of the methodology and discussion of results is encouraged.

MJS is an electronic and open-access journal that does not have article processing fees or page charges, and all papers can be downloaded freely. MJS adopts a publication model wherein accepted papers are uploaded immediately. As a consequence, the journal does not have issue numbers, only annual volume numbers with at least 12 papers per volume.

Submission Guidelines and Editorial Policies

The Manila Journal of Science publishes peer-reviewed Full Papers and Short Communications.

Full Paper is a full-length research article that describes the results of an original comprehensive investigation. Short Communication is a preliminary account of a study deemed significant that merits immediate publication. All submitted papers are initially reviewed for their appropriateness with respect to the scope of the journal. Prior to sending the papers for review to at least two reviewers, the manuscript is checked for duplicity using the software Turnitin. The review process follows a double-blind peer-review system. It is understood that all papers submitted to MJS are not simultaneously being reviewed in other journals. It is also understood that any part of the paper has not been published. Once the submitted paper is accepted, the corresponding author should fill up the copyright transfer form and send it to the Managing Editor. Click the link below to download the instructions and format for submitting journal articles to MJS.

The Manila Journal of Science supports and adheres to the COPE Codes of Conducts and Best Practices Guidelines for Journal Editors -click this link-
